HELP: with an Ugly House Plant

I have a lot of pothos ivy in my entry--needs very little care. bigger pot will give bigger leaves. (I had mine mistaken for kudzu a few years ago!) Looks to me like you are watering it too much, and it needs to be buried deeper, not shallower. Trim at will, but probably not more than 2/3 of a single stalk at one time. You can easily root the cuttings. It does best with indirect light, but needs lots of it.

We use those Aqua Globe things to water them. I have another plant that's really "blossomed" since we started using them, i think it keeps the roots wetter longer than watering daily.

I have taken cuttings and put them in water to root them before, shoudl I just pop 'em back in the dirt instead?

I don't water mine often, but it is growing in a flower bed, not in a pot. I am pretty sure that you are overwatering it. The aqua globes are probably better for plants that need a lot of moisture.

Yeah that. The plant is sometimes called a pothos. And they like to dry out a bit between waterings. I always waited till they get a little droopy and then water.

I appreciate the help guys, I will clip it tomorrow and just put the cuttings back into the old pot. I got it from someone so it didn't come with a tag or anything, no idea exactly what it is.

I have another one that i think was called "something Ivy", here's a picture of it..

That one looks like a philodendron. I got one like the first one as a gift once, I think the cats ate it. I had to spray the philodendrons with Jalapeno juice or they would have eaten it too.

Edited to add: I looked up Arrowhead plant and found this link that looks like it has a lot of good info http://www.gardeningknowhow.com/popluar-houseplants/arrowhead-plant-care-arrowhead-plant-or-syngonium-podophyllum.htm

They
say not direct sunlight, it will cause the leaves to fade or burn and that if you want it to stay bushy you cut the vines as they appear. And let it dry between watering, keeping the soil wet can cause root rot.
