Hello all! I was hoping you could help me with the gender and breed of my 6 chicks. They are all 8/9 weeks. I have been told that most of them are Easter Eggers, but there are a few others they could be as well (including mix breed). The black/white one I'm sure is a cockeral, as he tries to crow. But the others in not sure about. I'm thinking the rest are pullets, as no one else crows, but I really don't know. I appreciate your help!
Black/ White (what breed?) cockeral
Grey/ Brown/ white (what breed? What gender?)
Grey (what breed? What gender?)
Black/ Red (what breed? what gender)
Orangish brown/ white Easter Egger (what gender?)
Light brown/ White Easter Egger (what gender?)

Black/ White: Barred Rock cockerel
Grey/ Brown/ white: Easter Egger cockerel
Grey: Most likely Easter Egger, pullet
Black/ Red: Easter Egger cockerel
Orangish brown/ white: Easter Egger pullet
Light brown/ White: Easter Egger pullet
These are just my best guesses. I am by no means an expert!

If they're not fighting, there's no need to separate them just yet. You may need to separate the pullets, however, as the cockerels can be overzealous sometimes. Their hormones won't be kicking in for a while, but you might want to research options to deal with them when the time comes.
Thank you! I have looked at different options, if it were up to me I'd just eat a couple. Especially since one is already starting to harass the others. But I'm not sure the rest of the family shares my viewpoint (for now). The place I purchased them from has a buy back program that gives me money off a new hen, so that's an option as well. I just was trying to figure out if there was a certain age that I need to start watching them closer. But I'll just keep an eye out for now. I don't have the capability of separating them and still keeping them safe at this point. But definitely something to plan for.

The black and red cockerel could be an Asian black. He does not look like an Easter egger.

Afaik, Easter egger is the term for a mutt chicken that lays/should lay colored eggs, usually has one of the colored egg laying breeds as a close relative
