I was looking through the chicken coop design area here and found one I liked. I really liked "The Egg Plant" design, but I want to make one small change before we build it next spring. My husband really likes the Best Nesting boxes. I was thinking of installing them inside and have the egg collector stick out where the nesting boxes currently are, but shrink them them down to just cover the egg collector tray.

Any ideas, or opinions?

This is the one I liked.

I think this coop is ~6x6' , putting the nests inside the coop will cut down on the floor space, which if you live in Michigan like the builder, might be detrimental in the winter.
But yes, you could put the nests inside and have an access door in the coop wall, with a small awning over it for weather protection, to gather eggs.

Couple things I question about this coop and run,
but I don't think @navychick has been around for a few years
