I don't know much about this one. I know that bowed legs can come from a niacin deficiency or from being overcrowded. I would imagine that if it was caused due to being overcrowded then room and excercise would help him get better. If it is a deficiency then treated soon enough it can be cured.
Got another question for u all, since I've been starting my chicken and duck flock I decided to purchase an incubator, I've read many books and articles on incubating eggs but still have questions. After getting my incubator to 99.5 degrees I plased 11 of my ducks eggs in it, I've put the water in the bottom for humidity, and turn them at least 4 times a day. I'm now on day 13, I've been candeling them and all but two seem to be moving inside the egg. The two eggs that do not move have a dark spot in the middle and appear to be dead. I do not want to remove them without being sure that they are dead embryos, but I don't want to leave them in with the others if they are dead, taking the chance that they effect my living baby's. Any advice
Just wanted to let everyone know tha my duck is still doing fine, still has a croocked neck though. Also the nine duck eggs in my incubator are moving like crazy, im hoping that they are all healthy when thay hatch. Got a question though, im not sure what they will be because there are two drakes, one Rouen and one runner plus my hens include three runners and one rouen. Any ideas on what they will look like if thay are a mix of the two?
Good to hear your duck is well! That is exciting about your eggs! I love hatching ducks!! I don't know what they will look like besides absolutely adorable! Never seen an ugly duckling that's for sure!
