So far we are 9 days into incubating 6 eggs. We have been weighing our eggs every three days and are very confused about how to calculate the egg's weight loss. Can you please give us a formula and an example because if our calculations are correct our eggs have lost way too much weight in only 9 days.

Are you incubating at 97.5 degrees for a day 50 hatch?

What you want to do is take the starting weight of the egg and multiply by .15. That's how much weight you want it to lose over the entire incubation period. Then divide that by however many days incubation is going to be, which is 50 if you're incubating at 97.5, and then you'll know how much weight it should lose each day.

Yes, thank you
