Help with Identify these worms

Ivermectin doesnt treat tapeworms....the injectable is useless in chickens. Ivermectin pour on is useless against capillary and cecal worms, and large roundworms have shown resistance to it as well . This is due to it's overuse as a miteacide in chickens and not its primary purpose as a wormer. I quit using ivermectin products several years ago.
Valbazen is the best wormer on the market, hands down.

I had a better look at what I thought was piece of tapeworm, I think it from the shedding intestines. I looked at the hens poop today and did see any.

I know it doesn't get tapes, I just thought that the OP should have dosing info on both ivermectin *and* praziquantil since you mentioned giving Zimecterin Gold, which we both know has both ivermectin and praziquantil.

I wanted to chime in and suggest since she is tipping her head like you mentioned, it also could be gape worm since they eventually suffocate the chicken by congregating around the trachea. I lost one hen to gape worm and treated everyone with Valbazen which worked like a charm (1/4-1/2 cc per adult bird). I also keep Apple Cider Vinegar in their water which helps with some parasites and respiratory issues.

She is dealing with sour crop at the moment. I will consider treating my hens as well for possible gape worm. Thanks for the info. This has been all great informations. :)

I'm confused. So if I have the liquid Safeguard, what is the ml dose I would give to a regular sized hen? And then if I use liquid Valbazen, what ml dose would I give?

1ml = 1cc. If you had the liquid Safeguard, 50mg/kg would equal .5cc/kg (1/2cc/kg). To me, the 25 gram tube of paste looks like it's about 25cc's, so maybe 1 gram of paste = 1cc = 100mg? I'll have to figure that one out.

Sorry I can't help with the dose but I do agree that they need need treatment. Consider following it up with pumpkin meat and seeds or something else high in vitamin A because despite the debate that often follows any suggestion of natural treatments the vitamin A in pumpkin and the cucurbitacin in the seeds does do help keep the worm population down.
