Help with Identify these worms

I'm confused. So if I have the liquid Safeguard, what is the ml dose I would give to a regular sized hen? And then if I use liquid Valbazen, what ml dose would I give?

How much do you think she weighs? I use Safeguard (fenbendazole 100mg/ml) and my Old English Bantams get about .25cc's, my big hens get 2cc's and my big turkey gets 7.5cc's. FYI, Safeguard liquid or paste, you give the same amount... Let me know how much you think she weighs and I'll give you some options. If you don't have a scale, compare her to a bag of flour or sugar.

Give 1/2ml orally of either product to standard size birds, 1/4ml to smaller birds.

Given the wide range of acceptable doses, that works, too. But dawg, you gotta know now how anal I am about the whole weighing/dosing "thing".

Good helpful people here. I like to simplify things for myself. Lots of different wormers for specific worms as folks clearly discussed here. I like to use products that zap all worms; gape, tape, cecal, etc. The people I know who've used Zimectrin Gold swear by it. I'm glad because it is often carried in the feed stores. I've used Wormazole, Neokil, or Dr. Blues Enzum wormers that must be ordered. I know each of those take care of all worms. Something to think about when you consider keeping a well stocked medicine cabinet for poultry.

I couldnt agree with you more: The one product that gets them all including your not so common worms (eyeworm, gizzard worm, flukes, tapes and gapes) is my favorite...albendazole (valbazen.)

You forgot "superworms", lol. Valbazen is on my list of stuff to buy.

Ah. I didn't know Valbazen got rid of gapes. That product is common in the feed stores. Neokil also gets rid of all those worms you just mentioned, though I'm glad I haven't had to deal with many of those.

I dont know neither, but apparently it can be used in horses. I guess the equine pastes are cheaper.
