UC Davis has a blood test that checks for IBV, MG, MS, AI, NDV. Cost for out of state residents is about $17.

They will also let you use their fedex account, so that would save a bunch on shipping.

Thank you Kathy! You just made my life way easier. I went looking for a local branch for agriculture and was having a hard time finding any useful info at all. I'll check out both places you provided. I know the more info I have about Nova, the better.
I would cull the birds if someone could guarantee that the new birds will never get sick.
Well, I only have one bird. She is just a house pet that a friend of mine found, but when I got her I was looking forward to at least getting some fresh eggs here and there. I don't have enough land for a whole flock. So, its just me and Nova. If anything happened to her I wouldn't be getting more birds. Perhaps someday I would if my husband and I had a bunch of land or something. Our yard is a good size but I'm not ready for a whole flock yet.
