Help with possible color outcome of EE chick

I am not planning on breeding her, at least not for sale anyways. May let some eggs hatch once I get a broody. My Splash Orp would be over her so they would be mutts. He is the only bird I have from a breeder, the rest are hatchery birds.
Feel free to breed them! I breed my EEs who lay beautiful blue eggs :) Nothing wrong with that. Just don't sell them as pure Ameraucanas - That's all.

The weather is nice today so a little more cooperative with the camera

I got an EE newbie question. So Peep is obviously feathering a beard, Elphaba looks to not be but she has the cheek puffs. I know anything is possible with EE's. Has anyone had a cheek tuffted, non bearded EE? I will have new pics next weekend hopefully.

Elphaba started out the same colour pattern as 2 of my EE chicks and has ended up the same kind of pattern - so I guess that's a pretty typical pattern for a chipmunk EE!

The cheek puffs are called "muffs" (tufts are completely different). And yes, they can have varying amounts of bearding so some will have lots of fluff while others have less.

All without a doubt in my mind, girls. One of the things I really like about EE's is how obvious the boys are very early on. Both hens will eventually be a light red color with black and gold markings. I had one EE that was of similar coloring and she actually turned out white with black and red markings.

Here's Lacy:

18weeks, isn't she lovely?

Very lovely!

I don't often see this colour outcome on girls. Lucky you are!
