Fairly new to this myself but I have been researching like mad.
My research came up with the feather shape being fairly reliable with chickens from around 12 weeks. Hens have a rounded feather where a rooster becomes more pointed.
Can anyone confirm this? My Australorps seem to be displaying this and it looks the same for my light sussex but they are just coming to maturity now![]()
HEN!!
a rooster would have a redder comb, hackle feathers, and saddle feathers more pointy
just saying cause you asked,
SHE SO PRETTY! gimme !![]()
I have a pair of bantam Black Australorps and their eyes are dark like your girl. Their dark eyes make the skin around their eyes look lighter too.
