I'm so sorry for your loss and for you having to put your beloved hen down.
I'm not saying that large fowl can't pick on or injure silkies if that's their intent. However we have 10 silkies in a mixed flock with 80ish other birds. The silkies do great and are not picked on. They are not even the lowest in the pecking order.
We do keep breeds that are docile intentionally.
We keep Orpingtons, EE, legbars, silkies, Wyandottes, Brahma, Delaware, Buckeyes, Dominiques, oegb, and a number of other miscellaneous birds and breeds.
We do have a couple hatchery barred rocks, and red sex links as well. None of them cause problems with the silkies.
I do think it depends on the breeds you keep and if they're raised with silkies. I also don't recommend keeping just one silkie in a flock.

Don't put silkies by other standard breeds, they get bullied badly by most other chickens. I'm not sure if she will live, I will let other more informed people decide that...
