Help with this rooster please!

Yah, he is a nice rooster.

Well, if you are breeding for show birds he is too far from the standard for many reasons. If you are just keeping him as a flock rooster, no reason to not hatch eggs fertilized by him.

The crown is too up and flopped to be a pure bred Silkie. If you look at a show quality Silkie, they have pee combs. As said above, the earlobes should not be white. He should also have way more hair around the comb and face, almost making the comb and eyes hard to see on it's head.

Silkies do NOT have pea combs. It is called Walnut and VERY different than pea.

I think it might actually be a cross between pea and rose.

If not worried about the standard... I can tell you that Silkie boys are just as big of Stew Piddaso's as ANY other rooster I have raised... and so attitude DOES matter AND breed forward.

This are some of the chickens I have but the black ones are females and don’t know if they are 100% silkies. let me know guys what do you think!
