So incubator turner is not working so i am wondering what's my best option for 5 dozen eggs.
Do i try and hand turn them? Or, would putting a piece of 2x4 under one side of the incubator actually work? Place it under one side every couple of hours then alternate to the other side. The one side of the incubator would be raised up 2 inches i guess in theory tilting the eggs. Would that work? Or should i just hand turn them?

I would leave them in the broken turner so they don't roll around and raise up the incubator with 2 pieces of wood, so up 4 inches, and alternate 3 times a day so they rest on the opposite side each night. Turn them every morning when you get up, just after lunch, and before bed. Or you can turn them by hand, or get another turner.

Thank you. If they're up that high, I'd be fairly confident that it would allow the inside to not get stuck for sure. 2 inches i don't think is going to cut it. And really wish i could get a different turner for this. It's a Rite Farm 3600 incubator and I've tried 2different turners and they both keep coding out and stopping. I've been trying to find the instruction manual everywhere and cannot. So at this point it's down to raising it the 4 inches, or just hand turning. Would be a pain with 5 dozen eggs.... But, it would deff work.

Well, i guess i have my answer. Hand turning it is! Tried bringing it up the 4 inches and the water underneath was starting to come up over. Oh well! Guess I'll get them situated here inn a bit.
