Well, yeah, I agree that is a problem..........................gritty, when the heck did the silkies happen????
I want you to know I'm horrified!!!

eta I'm sure you'll do fine if you choose to keep the girl or choose to place her.

I can't believe you got silkies..................................................

The silkies - Jethro and Ellie Mae - happened in a moment of weakness. I had already placed my chick order and then some evil thing inside of me reached out and added those two to my order. Their plan to take over the world starting with this farm has worked beautifully for them so far. They are now both broody and they talked a real chicken into joining them.

I'll let y'all know what we decide to do. Of course I'll post pics if we decide to go get her.

Hey Ranchy? Why don't you just tell the whole world about my silkie problem while you're at it?!?

Remind me never to confide in you about my female problems.

Grits you are a good hearted woman. If it were me I'd be real leary of bringing in a rescue that has issues. You spent so much time, effort, and money on your boys and it's going really well. I'd hate to have you put all the time and money towards a rescue like this and have it just not work out. Contact the GSD rescues and get someone to take her because I know from your posts that you are compelled to help. Another thing is when you are so passionate about your animals others will think of you first whenever they see one in need. This will be one of many calls for help you'll receive over time.

My area is much like yours, and we get dumped dogs all the time, too. Currently rescued my latest this last September. I am up to 4 dogs.
If you have the means and willingness, I'd take her in. If the dogs don't get along, you can always separate them/crate them alternately until a permanent solution can be found. At least you are giving her a chance and can find out more about her temperament. If she doesn't work out with your situation, maybe someone else can adopt her. And thank you for trying!!

I'm reaching out to rescues now too. Going to call our vet tomorrow too and see if she has any contacts that may be interested. We'll probably go and meet the girl tomorrow when DH is off.

Poor thing! Hopefully you can save her..maybe even if you dont keep her..just foster her till you can find her a good home.
It'll be difficult..but well worth it!
