Help!

I have a polish mix chick hatch a few hours ago. Looks like his brain is exposed :\ has a red bumpy patch on his head, a bit of blood. What should I do?? Can I help iit? Or is it beyond help?

Please post a picture. Could another chick have pecked on his head, or his mom if you are using a broody?

He was the only chick in the incubator at the time. He hatched like that. I don't know what happened. He passed shortly after hatch.

I'm sorry to hear that, but I don't think there as anything you could have done. Did you get a good hach otherwise?

Yep. All but one hatched. I had 8 in the incubator. The other 6 are perfect. One died before pipping and then had this one.

Thank you. It's sad :\ but it's part of raising chicks I guess. Glad the others turned out good. This is the first time I've had any deformities.
