So my 4 ducklings are 5 weeks old. They're so messy and smelly. We have them in a large dog crate with bedding and their heat lamp.

Here in NJ, it's warmer during the day and chilly at night. When can they go outside? The smell is overwhelming. No matter how many times a day I clean their crate, it stinks. HELP!!!

They are ready to go outside...:).If you have a shelter and a run ready they can move out today...Provide them with dry bedding in their shelter and they will be fine....:)....At this age they can go the night without food and water...Be sure they are fed and watered in the morning ...:)

They will be as happy as you will be once they get out...;)

Best of luck...!

Cheers!

Yep mine have been out since 4 weeks with no heat. Its in the 30s at night and 45-50 during the day. I have 13 sp they help keep each other warm. But they are very happy outside!

Ducklings are stinking cute and just plain stinky. For our first ones, their brooder was in our living room and my husband says NEVER again!

Keep us posted on how your ducklings do outside.
