I thought/think I had lice/mites. Last week I cleaned out the house and dusted everything including chicks and thought I probably got it. I also put some tetrycline in water.
Tonight I went out and one of them was worse, feathers out red skin, and a gash in her thigh that was oozing. what am I to do??????
I put triple antibotic in the gash (think she must have pecked it because the feathers are gone too, or someone else pecked her up) and put more tet in water. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
I have done everything I have been told. HELP

Do you have a picture so we can see what's going on? Did you actually see signs lice/mites/bugs or did you just assume that's what it was? Are you certain that she is not being plucked by another chick?

1. Separate her from the others
2. Treat the wound: clean with saline and a topical ointment WITHOUT any painkillers (toxic to chickens), provide antibiotics if you suspect infection
3. Retreat for parasites. Parasite eggs hatch about 7-10 after being laid. It it likely that you're seeing the eggs that weren't killed by the initial treatment.

As always, keep us posted!!

They are down for the night but i already have one in becasue she was picking her own back right in front of tail, quite a few have that but i brought her in so i could get her healed she should be okay to go back tomorrow.
I treated with sevin 5% is it okay to go again tomorrwo? I was told it would be okay and if the eggs hatch in 7 days that would make sense so doesn that mean i will have the problem next week too?
this is terrible they were so healthy, always gave treats. this week i even got worms, 8$ for 36 for extra proteing i jsut read that raw liver is okay is that right
thanks for the quick help
