With duck starter you usually don’t need to supplement. What symptoms did your duckling have before it died? Very sorry for your loss. @Mhoward
niacin. but with duck starter i didnt think i needed it as well.I am going to watch this thread. I hope I am not doing anything wrong by not using it. I just didn't know what it is for. If I need to make sure my ducks have that then I will get some myself.

May not have been a niacin deficiency could have been something genetic just hard to say. The rest acting okay? Can you post pics of your brooder set up what type or heat lamp and light bulb?they were all fine last night after work then when i woke up one wasnt eating or drinking and not moving much. before i could make it back with some stuff from town it had already died. no idea what happened.
