The chick likely has a spinal cord and/or brain genetic defect. It's not going to get better, and trying to treat it only prolongs the acute suffering.

Roll the little thing in a paper towel. Locate its head and with sharp scissors, simply cut it off. This ends the life without any pain or further suffering.

Okay. I understand. There is another way. Does your dad have any engine starter fluid out in the garage that he uses to get a stubborn engine to start after long disuse? If so, find a small box or plastic container, even a ziplock baggie will work. Saturate a paper towel, really wet it. Do this outside in a well ventilated area as there is ether in the fluid and it can make you fall asleep. Pop the wet paper towel into the container, then place the chick inside and close it up. Walk away. No need to watch as the chick will very quickly fall asleep. Ether is a strong anesthetic. Then the chick will die in under a minute. Then later you can dispose of the body in the trash.

By the time I saw the last message I had already passed out. The Guinea died last night. Rip little buddy
I’m sorry Sunny! You did what you could for the poor thing!:hit It probably had a problem that couldn’t be fixed, and that’s why it was left at the feed store. You were very compassionate in trying to help.
