View attachment 2136594View attachment 2136595View attachment 2136596Went to get my ducks for a bath and found this spot on one of them, I have no idea where it came from! It just showed up in the last day or 2!
There is no punctuation wound.
I have seen what comes out of a fly strike.Sure wish the @Jeffriesfamilyof4 would post whether these ducklings have been outside. It does look similar to fly strike.
I think it’s fly strike which is pretty serious. Unfortunately I don’t know how to properly treat it. It probably has a bot fly under the skinI'm so sorry y'all I've not gotten any notifications that anyone has replied.
Have have been outside a couple hours a day but they're mainly kept inside.
They're only 4 weeks old so we still keep them inside
The ducklings are in a something similar to this.I'd also like to see what these ducklings are being kept in during the day/night, one has very poor feather loss, and both have very little water repellency. The wound needs to be taken care of with either a triple antibiotic ointment or a poultry antibacterial spray like Vetericyn. What are these birds being fed, have they had any other problems in the past, are they showing any other symptoms as of now?
