Have you done anything to clean out the wound? Peroxide would be good for the initial cleaning but not later. Do you have Vetricyn? I use if for "everything" keep the wound clean & you could apply some Triple Antibiotic or Neosporin without the pain relief. Good that you raised the heat lamp, needs to be warm not hot ... Put your hand between, close to your Roo to check temp.
