they used to sell amoxicillin too. A good one would be Baytril that works really good but I'm not sure if you need a vet prescription now. I haven't bought it in a while.

Thank you for the advice! I tried contacting a chicken vet but I can't find one who specializes.

I would give it a couple of more days see if she snaps out of it. I believe what you are using you have to give it at least 10-15 days.

She may need some antibiotics' but to get your hands on it and to take the risk with her being so young. Would be a little challenging. Tractor supply USED to sell a penicillin but they stopped that. LOL

Not really. people were being stupid with it by using it on every sickness that came along. you can't do that, as it increases antibiotic resistance. you need to confirm an infection before you use antibiotics.

Update: I watched her drink a lot of water this morning. Much more than prior days. Boiled egg is in there but no interest yet.

Still gasping. She didn't want anything to do w the egg. She's drinking water though. I switched it back to regular water without the corid and only hydro hen. I'm heading out now to get some yogurt. Should I warm the yogurt up a little?
