My little runner duckling was doing fine. Legs could have been splayed a little ( I don't understand because was never on slippery surface was on paper towels with shelf liner underneath) It is several weeks old and legs are shaking when standing. Its eye is runny and it wants to just lay down. Still seems to be eating. I am giving it water with electrolytes. It is on duck and goose starter. I had it in with my two anconas which are doing fine. I have had them on pine shavings for about 5 days. I put the runner in a different brooder with papertowels for bedding. Not sure what else I can do. Does anyone have any ideas. Was changing shavings every day.

Shakey legs on its own in a runner isnt uncommon. I often have some that will shake alot - it happens more often when they are going through a fast growth spurt. But with the runny eye as well it does indicate something more can be wrong. How is duckies breathing? The eye running can sometimes be a sign of respiritory issues.

I put electrolytes in the water. Would you just add the apple cider vinegar to that??? How much would you add?

Thanks I will go to the health food store and get some today. It seems a little better today. Still not moving around a lot, but did stand up. She is such a little cuddle. When I pick her ? up and hold her she snuggles right up against me.

I found some. Went to the health food store the first time and couldn't find any. I went back and the owner's son was there and looked in the backroom for me. I will try it. Thanks
