Egg Bound Hens - How to Recognize, Treat and Prevent ...Imagine one of your hens is acting funny. She is fluffed up, her eyes are closed and she is lethargic. You notice her sitting on the ground and maybe dragging her wings. Her tail is down and most likely she is straining or pumping her backside. Upon closer examination you notice that liquid is dripping from her vent and you may feel an egg-shaped lump. All signs of an egg bound hen.......Fresh Eggs Daily: http://fresh-eggs-daily.blogspot.com/2012/06/egg-bound-hens-how-to-recognize-treat.html

I had to do this and it worked for our hen! Good Luck and keep posted please

Sounds like the egg broke inside her. You must prevent bacterial infection from setting in. You'll want to give her a vinegar/water flush, like a douche.
Use a large syringe without needle, mixing 1 tablespoon of WHITE vinegar to 1 quart of water. Use a syringeful of the mixture and insert the syringe into her vent and gently flush. Use 3 or 4 syringefuls, the liquid may or may not flow out of her vent afterwards.
