Just had my first chick hatch in a still air little giant. When do I need to take the chick out. Its at 100 degrees and the chick appers to be panting is this normal. Any info is helpful. Thanks

    Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Chicks are fine to stay in the incubator for upto 72 hours after hatching. They live off the yolk sac they absorb during the hatching process.
I usually move mine to the brooder after 24 hours give or take. Usually when hatch is complete. Hatching is very hard work for chicks so that is probably why it looks like it's panting. Leaving it in the incubator will give it chance to rest get some energy and fluff up.

Wishing you the best of luck :frow
