Help!!

Keep the drakes away from the hens - that is what I would do first. I am not sure how being computer literate or not affects moving the drakes, though.

And if they are pets, they are pets. Most members of BYC seem to respect that.

Blue Kote is a helpful liquid that covers wounds and with chickens helps prevent other chickens from pecking at existing wounds. Feed stores carry it, usually.
Yes Tractor Supply carries it and it's very inexpensive, one of the best things you can have if you have chickens.

:O( I just couldn't do that......They have such a neat personality and literally, talk to me......

Thank you!!!!
I could never eat one of my ducks/drakes included. I know folks do though and I don't think badly of them for doing it I just couldn't. But we have to take responsibility for keeping them all safe and your hens are in grave danger if you don't keep those drakes away from them, if need be ask someone for help in making a secure pen for your boys to keep the hens safe and the boys safe too. you never know till you ask, I had so much stuff donated to me when we built our goose house it was amazing, people just sometimes will give things away just to have someone take it off. even fencing. Keep us updated on how it's going.

</div People here in my township, are not too happy about me having poultry. They are mostly "yuppies." I spent a year in court, to be able to keep them.....

That's a shame. People just have no idea what joy it is keeping animals whether it's chickens/ducks geese or dogs and cats horses. etc. Having fresh eggs everyday instead of store bought. I'm glad you stuck with it though and still have your flock. Things are changing though, I just read in our small town they are going to allow hens in the town limits with restrictions but still to be able to have a small flock of laying hens is nice. and benefits all around especially when your able to gift fresh eggs to neighbors every once in a while.
