My friend who incubates reccomended the egg floating test
put some water in a cup and just put the egg in if it stays up it is alive
wont this process drown the egg?

Hi! So sorry..I can't really see anything from the pic

I have heard of the float test...but haven't ever tried it. In my experience...the veins usually show up well when you candle day 5-7...darker eggs are harder to see. But at day 13/14 you should see the chick pretty well showing up as a dark mass. Let me know how the float test goes!

i took lot's of pictures, but when i put the flash on my mobile you could just see the colour of the egg not the shadow

the float test is going well iv'e tried all of the eggs and they have gone to the top which is a good sign

i'm wondering by doing the water test don't the eggs drown?

Ok..thats what I would think. But naybe they are not in the water long enough to absorb a lot of water thru the shell...I don't know
