Please help! I've had 4 chicks die in a single day and it is absolutely devastating

! I have everything they need and they are being perfectly nice to each other I have no idea what is happening! Please help if you can!

I received 15 two days ago, two have passed and two more are in a separate brooder that I am giving maple water to with a syringe.
The last time I got them this didn't happen, so I don't know why this time is different.

How old are they? Were they mailed or picked up from store? Some are born weak and there is not much you can do. There are water additives you can buy with electrolytes to give them a boost. I have my weaker ones in a separate brooder so they can rest and not get trampled.
Good luck

As fairfieldvtchix stated, we need more information. Were these chicks shipped to you or did you get them at a feedstore? How long have you had them? What kind of brooder so you have them in? What are you feeding them and how are the survivors behaving?

First thought with chick mortality is shipping stress. Next is coccidia.

Well, I had them shipped and there are electrolytes and probiotics in their water. I did some research on coccidia and it said they would die within 8-9 days but mine died in like 2 days. I have them in a nice, big brooder so that they have options on the temperature. I'm feeding them some normal chick starter (medicated) and the survivors are doing fine, except for the one that is just sitting there, which is exactly what the 3 others did before they died.

Are they drinking or eating ?

How warm is your brooder? Are they peeping excessvely?

They seem perfectly fine kept for that one, who refuses to eat or drink. The brooder is about 90 degrees F and they don't peep excessively. It's weird though because the next one doesn't start to be sick until the next one dies...

The hatchery we get our chicks from do two inoculations as soon as they hatch. Some farms feel that is excessive but check with your vet or a hatchery near by. If your getting the chicks from a store, could be they have been exposed to something they are not inoculated for. Just a thought not an accusation.

Did you check them for pasty butt? I unfortunately lost two in the commotion of life this week. Now im checking them twice a day

The ones that get sick and die do not have pasty butt. However, I did just post something asking how to get the pasty butt off so if you know please read it there and answer! But, if you don't thats ok, too. Right, so like I was saying, the ones that get sick and die do not have pasty butt. Right now, they are all healthy except for the pasty butt that I really need to learn to get off.
