Hey everyone!!! Didn't catch anything last night either!! I'm putting a new can of tuna out tonight and i'm going to try again.
EAST GOT TURKEYS!!!!! yay!!!!!
Justme the little guy has a little bit of a vaulted head but not too bad. He seems to be getting better i've been feeding him during the day supplements and electrolyte water and he is starting to be able to hold his head up more and more. This morning he was holding it still for a good 5 mins and then started tucking it again but its an improvement!!! I swear i think it was the feed and they just were not getting enough Vitamin E. I feed flock raiser (since i have such an assortment of feathery creatures lol) and they were feeding purina. And i did look at both tags and there is a difference in Vitamin E on the tag.
Sonja... i am also having this itch. I really wanna get some BCM eggs to add to my Marans...... My Blue hen is GORGEOUS! And so is my splash i just LOVE them!
OH and guess what... last night i ran to the store to get a few things for dessert and hubby was watering the call ducks pen and i heard him talking to them

thanks guys! I just checked on him again and he is eating on his own and holding his head up! I'm convinced it was the food! I'm so happy!!!! I could tell my neighbors were upset about it and they asked me to take them back. I wasn't having any problems with my silkies and neither had my MIL. They were feeding them the purina medicated. The first one they had do it my neighbor put it down the next day bc he wasn't getting any better. And then when the next one came down with it they just didn't wanna do it anymore. So i said i'd give them supplements and see if that made a difference! I was scared it wasn't going to but looks like it did! Thank god i did not want to put another baby down especially since i'm having issues with predators too! I'm SICK of losing birds.... hubby is SICK of it too. He went out there and broke a sweat when he came home and told him about the three birds that were ate the other night. I mean didn't even eat and went out in the 98 degree weather and buried the fenceline. bless his heart i love him

so east how do you like this weather

i go out in the morning do my birds, ride, let dog and cat out then everyone comes inside till pretty much hubby comes home. I go check on birds a few times during the heat but they seem to be doing ok. Only ones having a hard time are my quail babies. Lost 4 babies yesterday to the heat so i set up a squirt bottle by the back door and i go out and mist them off. they are in the shade but its pretty hot here.

GUESS WHAT I GOT TODAY???????? Our anniversary was on the 27th of May and DH didn't get me anything. Today he came home with 2 Eastern Wild Turkey poults!

Official update. I no longer have any BCM. I cant even find a trace of them like half eaten bodies or large quantity of feathers. Maybe I should get more.
