I had much rather be here than in Texas. I HATED the gulf humidity on top of all that heat. At least here we only average 2-3 weeks of temps near 100. I can't handle the heat anymore. It makes me sick literally. I have threatened DH that we are moving to Maine but he refuses (sissy can't take the cold). I wonder if a long distance realationship would work lol

It is REALLY hot here in the summer and the humidity is horrible!
That's why when we built this house, I INSISTED we put in a pool! Boy is it nice when it's hot outside!
After the cold we've had this winter, we've decided we won't complain this summer about the heat...we'll see.

Well I'd have to rethink my breeds of chickens and get some winter hardy ones. Russian orloffs are cold hardy......scratches chin while thinking
