GUESS WHAT I GOT TODAY???????? Our anniversary was on the 27th of May and DH didn't get me anything. Today he came home with 2 Eastern Wild Turkey poults!

I'm so excited! Today, while everyone else is panting and suffering in the heat, my baby turkeys are just out there chillin' in the brooder box.
105 degrees...un-freakin believable. Even for here.

sonja i'm so sorry to hear that. I am just sick over the birds i've lost. I have all my birds in a SECURE (so i think) pen. I feel bad they've been a bit cramped the last two days but they are safe till we can finish up the other side of the big coop and make it more predator proof. First it was owls, then my dog, and now i think a coon. My hubby said he saw my neighbors cat by the pen this morning. I'd hate it if it was my cat or the neighbors cat. Do you have a live trap sonja?
East its SOOOO HOT!!!! Yack i hate it lol this is when i miss living in Ohio! But last year was worse bc i was super pregnant

I'm even locking ducks up and my geese even though the baby geese are now bigger then my ducks. I do not have a live trap but I am about to borrow a death trap. I may go to my dads house this weekend and get one of his rifles. That should help with the predator problem.

Sorry it is sooo hot there. It is only 84 here at the moment and I am about to die

lol sonja when i found my birds dead i told my dh when i called him upset that i was going to sit out there with a gun and just wait for whatever to walk up and shoot it. My husband was surprised at how hostile i was but ya know what i'm sick of feeding the local predators!!!!

I would but I don't think I'm going to hatch anymore ducks for this season. I might change my mind though lol I'm really wanting to get some BCM or some wheatons. Hows everyones evening going?
