Ouch, my brain hurts. I had it all figured out how much more lumber i needed, until hubby started figuring. We never figure the same way . But the answer was the same in the end.:lau i added on more, just to be sure. Besides, i want some to play with.

I doubt you'll ever waste any excess lumber!
I love having a stash, so I can build when the spirit strikes.

I took Ollie down to the mower, wrapped a tow strap around the front axles and in just a second, Ollie lifted Minnie Pearl right out of there..
I finished mowing the "lawn" and then tackled the orchard.. let me tell you, that was a picnic.. fallen branches everywhere.
the orchard is 80 black walnuts. I do believe they drop more branches than a willow..
at the end of the black walnuts I have a few rows of jack pine. there is some sort of viney weed that is hard to eradicate. two years ago I had my nephew help me and we pulled those nuisances out by the roots.
wherever a root broke off, there was a new vine.. they resemble elderberry bushes, sort of..
anyway, I found one of my tow chains hanging in a pine tree.. and I found a hemp rope on the ground. It wrapped around the mower blades and choked the tractor off. I sharpened a bone handled knife and cut the rope off..
I checked the blades while I was at it.
a few nicks in them. I will have to sharpen them soon. I am going to try to just lift the mower up with Ollie and take the blades off. that way I won't have to remove the whole mower deck.

I have lots of rough sawn lumber . but I cannot come up with a good item to make to sell. I have red pine, red oak, some maple and some bitter nut..
One project I am thinking of is a cutting board that will fit over both sections of the kitchen sink.

How about signs? Or benches?

We are having glorious days. dry and sunny.
to our south is where the rain is. we will get it eventually.

today is officially pick-up-fallen-branches day
IDK how long my back will hold out.
also have to clear a spot in the garage for Minnie Pearl..
I have always wanted to build a porch swing.. or a lawn glider swing .
I made a couple of cutting blocks.
IDk if there is much of a market for those.

Every day could be pick up fallen branches day here! The woods are full of them.
Today we got a start on the runs. Made four , 6 foot by 8 foot panels to use for the run. Waiting on more lumber. We figure five rolls of 3 foot 2"x4" welded wire will do the job. Hopefully my compressor will run on the extension cords running out there.

when I started building my first spec house, I had to run wire from the box about 200 feet from the foundation. I just unrolled a box of romex and put a 4 plex box at the end .
I plugged in my radial arm saw and the blade just swung back and forth a little.
If I gave it a nudge, in either direction, it would run either forward or backward.
Annie went to town for awhile this morning. I had a lull time so I looked the old Husqvarna over a bit. found out why the belt was slipping, fixed it and took it for a trial run through some thick weeds.
It cut really well.. I am almost afraid to tell this to Annie.. LOL
I will use it to cut tightly around the trees. It works better than the tractor for that purpose.. I have over 125 trees to trim around in the grove..
I cut a tree down two summers ago. right on the corner of the pine grove. Now with all the rest of the trees trimmed out, that corner of weeds looks bad. I hauled out two large branches . still have the main trunk and some odds and ends to haul out
I hope I can do it without having to cut that log into smaller pieces.
right now it is pushing 80F. I will wait for it to cool off just before dark before I go at it again..
