Helpful hints for building coops

I did more painting and added another piece of plywood after it cooled off this evening.
You can see the knee wall by the ladder.

I picked up two of those dog kennels for free. I put them both together to make one. it is one section wide and two sections long, (7ft x 14ft) ..
I lined the bottom with 2ft high chicken netting, then I made pvc "rafters" and covered the top with chicken netting..
I have used it for tiny chickens , guineas, turkeys, ducks and dogs .
Now that I don'g have birds anymore, I want to get rid of it. only whoever buys it will have to take it apart; not I..

I wish I was closer I would take you up on many things. lol my main coops are made from 10 foot wide sections of dog kennel that is covered with 1 inch chicken wire, we also put a apron of 1/2 inch hardware cloth around it to keep out the diggers. So far I have been very happy with it.

I got the frame assembled for another quail pen. I need more heavy duty wire for the bottom. Also i need to mail Mom her birthday gift and card. She is turning 91 on the 13th.

Happy Birthday mom..
I took the garbage out early today, No collection on the 4th, so who knows when they will show up today ??
In my raised pens, the floor is 8 gauge 1" squares wire. then I covered that with 1/2" mesh.

I got another sheet of plywood up on the turkey coop today. And painted both sides. Then i cut a spare piece to fill in a long skinny space on the end. So that end is done.

I went back to work, and got the back of the coop finished!
