Annie and I went and spread a tarp under the plum tree and shook plums down. got about 2 gallons. moved the tarp and shook again, filled a 3 gallon bucket this time.
trimmed lots of dead branches off as we went.
decided that was enough plums for us. the birds can have the rest.
didn't bother shaking the 2 small trees.
I think I am going to jerk one of them out. it is growing at a sharp angle. too mush trouble to try to stake it straight at this late in the game.
 supposed to rain in a few days, I will work on making plum jam, then.
these plums are/were from wild trees growing in the ditch.  no bugs in them. and they are super sweet.  about the size of large olives.
