Today i got the divider mostly finished in the hoop coop. I need to tack hardware cloth on the screen door i will be using tp access the back half. The three adult guineas slept in there last night but refused to go in tonight, i have no idea where they are right now.

to locate the guineas, wait until about bedtime for them. they always announce to all the predators where they will be sleeping tonight.
the storm didn't pan out as they predicted.
got a little windy and rainy. one tornado sw of us and another one se of us ..
No reports of damage on the TV this morning
Hair cut today. Nephew's wedding on Sat.
I suppose I will have to break down and shave, too.. really infringing upon my comfort zone..
next she will insist that I shower, too..
Cappy. I never heard of using TP in a coop.LOL

:lol::gig@ guineas

We didn't get the storm predicted here either, tho the wind was blowing real good starting at about 3am, but no rain at all...still real breezy. Was not even any dew this morn, which was great as I finally got the long neglected yard mowed. Sure as nice to work outside and not overheat.

Since i got rid of the male guineas , it has been really quiet around here.
I don't get the TP reference?
Hoping to get the divider finished up today, so i need to tack the hw cloth on that wooden screen door.

Tips on hardware cloth (learned the hard way!):
1) Buy at least a 50' length of it because the smaller lengths (especially the 10') are wound tight and are hard to straighten.
2) Wear gloves (duh:rolleyes:)
3) When undoing the roll you have to cut the wire that holds the roll together. Once the wires are cut the whole thing will unravel and spin out like a tightly wound spring and it will cut you if you're not careful and aren't expecting it.

I can't wait until my coop is done and I don't have to deal with this stuff anymore. It will cut you and rob you blind (not necessarily in that order!). Seriously, I think its been the biggest expense of mine so far.

It's like a fresh pillow case.. you gotta fold it, punch it and sleep on it a couple of times before it feels right again..
It is official, this morning I unplugged the two window AC's .
shut and locked the windows.
IDK what Annie has in store for today.
maybe take me out for breakfast ? she gets home from work about 9:3o..
G.Bay Packer game at noon. will have to be back home in time for that..

Hit 90 today. 150% humidity. Quite the sauna

Great tips! Hubby always frowns when i buy more wire, thinks i have it all over the place. I need more hardware cloth already, almost out.

Definitely the biggest expense, hardware(screws, latches, hinges, etc) is the next biggest.

Once your done with coop you'll have gotten better at handling it, then you won't need to any more!

I am already pretty good at handling it and i don't use gloves. I rarely get cut or scratched and i hate wearing gloves. But i got an overdose of wire handling when i was building all of those carrying cages for the swap. I am considering going to the livestock auction tomorrow to see how prices are. Probably low.
