New boiler pump installed and appears to be functioning correctly!
Was way easier than I had feared...which kinda makes me nervous...but..

The only time I ever messed with a circulating pump is when I ran coils in the sun room floor.
I have an electric water heater to heat the water. We don't heat the sunroom anymore.
Annie says it costs $100.oo per month just for that room. there is nothing out there that needs to be heated..
we got the moped out of the lean to shed and got the lawn mower in. then the thunder storm came along . so now I am in the house until it clears out.

This is my main heating system, there are 3 zones, 3 pumps.
HVAC guys replaced one a year or so ago, $400...this one $90.

Watch one, do one, teach one?
Took me less time than it did them, tho they had to run a new wire and one guy was teaching another.
I just popped the old one out and the new one in, 4 bolts and 3 wires, and had the new one all ready to go.

I have heard that lucerne straw composts down really well and contains nitrogen. It can be used as mulch on garden beds too though it doesn't last very long. Expired mushroom compost improves the soil too.

Never heard of lucerne straw but the internet says that's alfalfa. That is doable, we found the local feed store the other day and they have bales of everything.

Oh, I was plenty nervous
....and had the HVAC guys on speed dial in case I ran into something screwed up.
I did run into one little glitch and almost made the wrong move to 'fix' it.
But decades of a 'how does that work' mentality made it a pretty simple job.

I am no genius by any stretch of the imagination. what I am is cheap. If I figure I can do it and not hire it done, I will tackle it.
I guess I was always curious how things work.
when I was about 12, my youngest bro 8, got a 3 speed bike. of course this was new technology back then. I just had to take it apart to see what made it go. I never did get it back together.. Had a similar experience with a wind up wrist watch..
the list goes on and on.
If you can find hay or straw locally from a farmer, it would cost you about 1/4th of what feed stores charge..
With a project like Art just did, take a picture of it first. Note which way the arrows are pointing , etc..
