Helpful hints for building coops

good morning, 6am and dishes are done and i am cuppa'd up.
Art, the cardboard goes in as the bottom layer in the raised beds. earthworms love the glue and for awhile it holds the moisture..
I put a few things on craigslist. Now I sit back and wait for the false replies.
had one on the toilet. lady wanted to see a picture. I have no picture. but I said it is
white, clean and free. never heard from that one again.

How does this precipitate getting the cardboard out of the garage?

My brother is now going thru this, trying to downsize for move to a new house.
It's like that with any online sales, probably print ads too.... it's a Royal PITA!

yep, all ads get the weirdo's .
I have had people contact me about puppies.
lots of back and forth emails. answering questions. then just about the day of delivery, the people quit responding.
Never to be heard from again.

Probably better that it isn't new if you're going to grow food in them.

The cardboard will be acting as a weed shield in the bottom of the beds and the walkways between them. I'm going to contact a tree trimmer that works here locally and see about getting wood chips for the walkways.

The ground under the beds is mostly sand so holding moisture will be a big help but I have to say I didn't know about the worms liking the glue. Glad to hear it, happy worms are a plus!

Today I put some cross pieces in the front wall of the run to tack the hardware cloth to. Also painted the wood.
And I got the third side of the hardware cloth skirt tacked on the outside of the run. Once the weather improves, I can really finish this project quickly.

Hey @jvls1942 know about trailers and their depreciation?
I have a really nice 6x10 trailer, 3 yrs old, want to sell it but have no idea what to price it at. Paid 1300...what's it worth?
Wood planks, heavy tube wire way, powder coat paint, step-able fenders, LED lights.

I'll trade you , even up, for my 4' x 7' beat up old trailer..
Yours has no hard use. It is still worth what you paid for it. Unfortunately, nobody will pay that much because it is "used".
try to get $1100.oo for it and be prepared to get beat down a couple hundred bucks from that..
I have seen similar ones go for about $700.oo
