Helpful hints for building coops

I haven't done much real labor lately, but I've been cooking up a storm. Chili, spaghetti, and today cheese biscuits and baked squash. I must be getting used to the glass-top range. Maybe cheese grits and eggs tomorrow.

I think I will work in the shop today if Annie doesn't have other plans for me.
I took the extension cord ends back and bought 4 of the style they had. tried one out. what a piece of junk it is. I am taking them back and going to Menard's. I know they have the kind I like, there..
I am thinking of making a batch of cinnamon rolls. maybe put some walnuts and caramel topping on them.
Not everybody here likes nuts on them, so that is more for me..

So many of the electrical stuff is junk. Hard to find good ones

I used to make some with and some without. The people who liked without wouldn't see those. They would pick off the nuts and leave me with the without.

We had a bunch of old bananas so banana bread it is! New recipe, it has sour cream in it so we'll see.

I make things that I like. If someone doesn't like it, then they had better learn how to make their own.
I once made fruit cake with banana bread .
today I did get some work done outside.
Annie began cleaning up shavings, while I set up to drain the transmission on Ollie.
I got the drain plug loosened up enough so that water began to drip out at a slow but steady rate. I put a pail under the drip and set up an electric heater directed at the bottom of the transmission housing. My plan is to check it tomorrow. It began dripping at about 2PM today. the shifter was still frozen
then I went and helped Annie scoop up shavings. we filled 3 more large contractor bags . we are pretty much done with the shavings. have 7 bags full. I will lay them on the septic tank area.
I have a long narrow table with my chop saw set up on it. I am going to eliminate the chop saw and table. that will free up about 20 sq ft of floor space. I will set up my two jointers on that floor space.
this morning I was feeling no pain in my hips. tonight I can hardly walk. the heating pad took a lot of the pain away. tomorrow I can do it all over again.

I have a long narrow table with my chop saw set up on it. I am going to eliminate the chop saw and table. that will free up about 20 sq ft of floor space.

Can't imagine how much floor space all those shavings took up!!

Luckily most of the shavings were under the outfeed table. but be assured, there were plenty spread across the floor surrounding the planer. It was kind of nice to walk on, though. like a deep carpet. No...actually more like a mattress..
The shavings are not so bad, the sawdust from the table saw was worse.
I still have some sweeping to do, and some vacuuming . but that I can toss into the stove and burn it.
