Lost a hen. She went lethargic a couple days ago.
Isolated and tried to give vitamins yesterday but she wouldn't eat or drink.
Found uterine infection and calcification mess.
Her shelling function was always funky, sometimes seriously so,
surprised she lasted as long as she did.
She laid a couple of these last spring/summer.
Hope it doesn't gross y'all out too much.

Annie's check up went well. she still has to stay at the rehab facility, though. they can give her better care than she would get at home.
when I got home I made a batch of sloppy joes without green peppers. It still turned out OK.
then I made a dozen ho=made hamburger buns.. they turned out good, too.

I cook a half turkey or a chicken once a week. Make soup from the bones.. lasts most of the week.I am living on the sloppy joe's and ho-made hamburger buns. I have about 2 more meal's worth and then I will move on to something else
Probably Pork & Beans. It sure is hard to cook for just one person..
I am eating just one meal a day and a snack at night.. No soda's .
Annie has lost 10 pounds since her surgery.
Probably the lousy food at the nursing home has something to do with that ..
