good morning everyone,
our TDay turned out nicely. Our meal was good, not as good as home made, but good..
I had to add butter , pepper and brown sugar to the sweet potatoes.
had plenty of mashed potatoes and gravy.
I didn't care for the cranberry/orange relish.
the beans in the mushroom soup hot dish was OK.
the dressing wasn't as good as what I make from scratch.
personally, I would prefer to cook the whole meal myself..
DD gave us a 14# turkey. probably will make that for Christmas.. Maybe by then we can sneak a few more people in for a meal.
That big meal yesterday didn't do my green tea and oatmeal diet any favors. But I am still holding off the weight that I did lose.

IMO, the key to staying on a diet is to break it occasionally -- deliberately and thoughtfully.

I'm coming up on 2 years of low carb and if I didn't let myself have some bread once or twice a month or have a small piece of cake at my grandkids' birthday parties I'd have chucked the diet ages ago. Instead, I've lost 80lbs.

I have not been really dieting seriously. but a bowl of oatmeal holds me until late afternoon.
so basically, I have been eating just two meals per day. hardly no snacks. No soda pop .
water mostly, and orange juice once in a while.
I only need to lose about 50# . I am not fat, I am just too short for my weight..

My initial goal is to lose 100lbs. Then I'll decide if I want to keep going to get closer to my ideal weight.

I am now fat. I was grotesquely obese at literally twice my ideal weight.

the turkey is all used up. Annie opened up a can of chicken soup and cut the rest of the turkey into small pieces. It was a meaty tasty
soup for sure..
our day today is starting out very sunny.
but it is colder than it was yesterday. However, the temps forecast in the mid 30F's for the next few days is unheard of for Dec.
none of the lakes are frozen over yet. Many years we could go ice fishing during TDay week..
Not complaining..

Having sold Picatta and, as of half an hour ago, Dumpling, I'm down to 5 ladies in a 4x4 coop. I think that will do with the giant pen (100 feet of Premier 1 electric netting), until we can build larger facilities.

I want to get chicks in February or March next year instead of June. That way they should start laying more promptly. :D
