DH was planting the last of the posts for the new coop and while digging some extra dirt to pack into the post holes he first uncovered a hibernating worm snake and then a toad/frog (he called it a frog but he can't tell the difference and we are at least 500, maybe 1000 yards uphill of the nearest water).

We carefully put them back where they were found and tucked them gently back into their earth blankets.

I told the snake to stay out of the chicken coop if it didn't want to be eaten.

Wish I could, but ....I have 2 incubators on lockdown, another locking down tomorrow and I just bought 19 chicks because they were in Tractor Supply and had poopy butt.

That's fabulous!
I am dragging my feet. Sinus infection again. Taking steroids for that, thought might boost my energy levels but I guess it's pretty energy draining.
Went to a swap today, sold 3 of my roosters which made me happy because I just have too many taking up coop space.
