Helpful hints for building coops

My friend never did show up because her hubby took the truck.
Today I finally adjusted the gate frame and the gate itself so it fits properly in the space. And attached it to the metal frame. Getting so close to finishing! Still need to put a skirt around the base of the coop.

Yeah, the wine was something I could do to pass the time.. I can't drink much of it. The alcohol is too high and it gives me reflux.

I made wine last year. It was a fun project. I made jelly first (lots) then I still had muscadine left so I made 4 gallons of wine with the rest. It was fair wine.

yup, wine making is a never ending learning experience. some day I might get good at it
I have five gallons to siphon into the bottling bucket. then after I bottle it, I will be done with wine for awhile.
I bought two knurled shiny brass thumb nuts for the coil. More thread in them than in the thin nut that was on the coil. I should not have any problem with loose wires again.
I tried to put the tachometer into the dash on Ollie. keyword is "tried". no room to get my hands in to hook up the cable. gas tank is in the way.. I will have to figure a way. I have a plan A .
had snow on the car this morning. sure doesn't make me feel like going outside.

I was digging out my run today. Under roof but screened in. It smells like a swamp. Tomorrow I will put down lime and fresh potting soil. Whew!

Drainage issues?
No bedding other than potting soil?

Some coarse wood chippings would take care of the stink.

I put some hens and pullets in the new coop today. They seem to be getting along pretty well.

I have a follow up appointment with the Cardiologist tomorrow. No results yet on my lab test.
Hubby says he wants to have a garage built with an upstairs bedroom for company. Sounds great to me. Less racket in the house when Grandkids visit.
It's only about a month until the big swap in Glen Allen! Great fun and record sales last year.

Hi all, am busy as can be. Last Saturday Annie fell and fractured a bone in her knee.
Her leg is immobilized so I am doing a lot of running and waiting upon her. She has an appointment on Thursday. will see if she needs to have screws inserted, then.
still waiting for spring. It has snowed four times since we saw the first robin.
Supposed to be only three snowfalls..
