Hell, you are outside all the time, what do you care what it looks like inside ?

My hip does not hurt at all today.
I sat on a heating pad for a long time last night.

On monday I have to drive 2 hours to deliver a puppy.. I will drop him off in Reedsville and he will ride in a horse trailer from there to Iowa.. going to a small Amish sheep farm..
I sold these guys two puppies previously.

I have three pieces of window trim to make for the exterior and one header piece for the interior. It is supposed to rain a little tonight and tomorrow morning. I just talked to a painter friend of mine and he thinks it will dry before it rains. I am going for it.

we dug about 50 feet of row of potatoes yesterday. got about 100 pounds.
my potato picker quit, she said that was enough for one day.
I still have about 50 feet to dig.
she said that she has enough and I don't have to bother digging the rest.
If DD want them, I will dig them for her..

Husband is not happy in a messy place. I did wash the dishes last night, they must be dry by now. Feels like all my muscles are achy this morning, don't really know what i did to get this way. I need some pills and caffeine. Hope you get lots of potatoes, Jim.

The builders for the goat shed will not be here today. I told him i would beat his build and now i get 2 days when he will not be here! He is going to pass out when he sees how far i get!

That's my basic philosophy...... luckily husband will do house work. Lol I would much rather be outside. We have decided that he is a better builder than I am, aND I am good with that, he tells me where to nail, hold, screw and it comes out well! We built a chicken compound this last spring...... only took us 2 months. But I am super satisfied with the results! I have four separate coops with attached runs, so I can have four separate flocks to avoid personality conflicts of my birds and also control which rooster is covering specific hens.

this picture was taken before we finished putting the top on but you can see the general layout. We used dog kennel panels for most of the outside fence, and because the gates are very handy, buried a hardware cloth apron all the way around the outside that goes a foot up the panels and overlapped the kennel panels with 1 inch chicken wire and finished with chicken wire over the top. As you can tell we have a few predators in our area. Sadly my flock has to be protected at all times.

That looks great Alicia!
The next time i talk about using pallets in a build, some one slap me! All i have done so far is discover that pallets are not a standard size, and produce a lot of kindling trying to get the boards off to reuse.

cut the nails off w/a sawsall.. between the board and the runner

Yes, the heat treated pine pallets splinter into kindling. They also use spiral nails shot into the runners. Not easy to tear down. Lots of patience. Try to use the hardwood pallets for tearing down. Much nicer.

Pallets can be chemically treated.....there's a chart somewhere IDing the stamps used.

I built nothing today, tho roasted a turkey breast and made some stock for gravy from grilled bones ..and one of my CCL pullets laid her fist egg today!
