Helpful hints for building coops

good morning,
just killing time until my driving partner gets here.
I map quested the directions.
it kept telling me how easy it was to use their map quest. B>S>!!! I never did get past the ad

I also tried google. not a lot better. have to sign in. they give a secret pass word to type in. it never worked.

I finally just brought up a map and located the road. that will be close enough for me.
it is a short road and easy to find.

I think the growing season is over .
no frost ,,, yet. but threatening.

I'll bet DH is feeling mighty sore today, eh?

Yes, he is very sore. Only slept about an hour he said. Still swollen. At least he will have to rest because it is raining today. I am going to town for more building supplies i guess. I really would like to hibernate for the day or spend it in a hot tub.
 
cold packs are good for swelling.
along with a cold brew.

note the mess I have to clean out already.

Yes, looking good!
I got some 2x4s and other items husband wanted, unloaded them in the workshop. Good thing because it is raining and we have a tornado watch here.
I got the hinges for the hoop coop door and more of the foam strips for the roof. Now if it will stop this darned rain a person could get some work done. No oops paint that would work for me so i will have to use some i already have. Sure glad i put away all the tools last night. The contractor left his out on Friday. I covered them this morning when i saw it was drizzling.
 
had a nasT thunderstorm go through here late last night.
raining right now. High wind warning for later today.
that will bring the leaves down.

we got the puppy delivered yesterday.
He was super good on the ride.
put a blanket on the back seat and he snoozed most of the way.
when we got there after a 2 hour ride, he was very calm and friendly to the new people..
today he will be riding in a horse trailer for about 5 hours.

I have a new/old project that I have been putting off.
we put 4 new windows in the bedrooms.
the way my nephew installed them left the jambs short of being flush with the inside walls.
I have to make jamb extenders and then install the trim.
a good inside job for winter.
I get ro play with the power tools again.
table saw, planer, nail gun. yahoo !!
