we have a female Maremma staying with us to get bred. it has taken her 2 months. she is finally showing signs .
she was due sept 1.. hope this isn't a false alarm..

I wonder if stress of new place can keep a bitch from going into heat?
Like moving stress can keep a hen from laying.

Why didn't they just bring her when she started showing signs?. Bummer to keep her so long.

they missed her on her previous cycle.
so they brought her here when we figured she was due again.
unfortunately she wasn't ready.
this dog had a real rough start in life before these girls got her.
I don't mind keeping her here. she is no bother. and a sweet dog.
Art, there might be something to do with stress. .
I will get my pick of the litter if things turn out for the good.

Looks like the chook run will get my old carport frame. Now to figure out how to use it to it's advantage.
My new metal roof carport is coming Friday, in pieces so I have to assemble it. It is not one of those simple ones
I hope your Wisconsin COLD stays where you are and not come this way any time soon !
You can kinda of see the carport on the right. It is 10 wide by 20 long. Will go in exactly the way it is now, but in the other side of black/bamboo fence and to the Left of the pic against the White fence. I just moved it off the driveway today toward the front yard just to get it moved.

I think it depends on the breed and the line the dog is from.

They drip blood so it is pretty obvious , and they clean themselves a lot.
