just checking my emails before going to bed.

I got the wooden angle "iron" glued and in the clamp on the kitchen table.
If I ever build another work shop, it is going to look exactly like a kitchen..

Cappy, check your table saw to make sure the blade is exactly parallel with the miter slots.. then you can set your fence according to the slots..
on most table saws there are bolts under the table top that can be loosened to align
the table top to the blade.
you only do this once and it lasts forever.

Will do, thanks! Have a great night!

Going shopping tomorrow to buy the stuff i need for finishing the raised beds in front of the house. Concrete, border blocks and mulch. I will be glad when that project is done. I still have to plant the rest of the bulbs and possibly put more dirt in the beds after it rains. It is going to look great this spring!
The project of cleaning up the deadfall around here will be never ending i fear. A lot of it looks like this...

Is this a new to you place?
Yeah, once you get the existing dead fall cleaned up, there will be more 'stuff'.
Hard to stay ahead of Mother Nature.

I spent a few years clearing ski trails on my 15ac, then a decade keeping them clear.
Once I couldn't do the work anymore, most the trails quickly 'disappeared'.

Yes, we just moved here in May. The people who had it before us just used it for vacation so they only scattered broken glass and bullet casings all over. One tree got shot so many times it just fell over!

Hi,
nice to see warm bodies again.
the range repair guy is here.
we need a new switch, they never carry any parts with them, have to order a switch.
he will come back in about a week.

I had to make some reinforcement blocks for the oak angle jig. another overnight glue up delay..

If you have seven acres of woods, they say that you can heat your house with just the dead falls and cleaning up..

back when I burned a lot of wood, I would go down to the river and drag out the trees that washed down river.

Hi Jim, We have 13 acres and mostly wooded so we are set. I prefer to burn hardwood but most of the deadfall is pine.
Another sunny day here, but i am really tired. I am going shopping for things i need as well as a change of pace. Husband is already out grocery shopping.

I burned everything.
mostly hardwood, though.
pine is OK if you let it really roar. I never used pine for holding a coal overnight..
birch is OK if you have something like pine along with it to keep it burning.
we used to be able to get elm. that is the best for holding a hot coal. but our elms are all but extinct around here..
I do not like shopping. I go into a store with an item in mind. when I find it, I am done..

I had one of my boiler pumps go out yesterday, not a DIY for me,
tho it might be if one of the others die.
They came out and had new pump on truck,
was replaced and running again in an hour.
Paid dearly tho. Ouch!

Is this Late Fall/Winter making others really Fatigued this year ?

Seems I go out and do a few things and by the time the sun starts to hide behind the trees, deep at 3, I am all set to go relax on the couch.

This is the 1st year it has affected me so bad. So I am glad that there isn't much I have to do in the yard till Spring.
You all are doing so much !
