I learned that about pens that don't work. Just throw it out!
can't do that,, if I did, my pencil mug would be empty ..

when I was building houses, I would take a handful of spikes and scatter them all over the floor.
because it never failed, I would be holding a board and my nail pouch would be empty.. so just look on the floor, there should be a spike close by, enough to hold the board while I filled my pouch again..
I hardly ever put anything back right away.. my duct tape cabinet would always be empty..
when I really can't find a tool, I go to my wife's tool box. she thinks that the pastel flowed handles will deter me NOT

btw, today I did go and buy a
1 1/8" forstner bit. I needed a 3/4" one, too. there was a set of 4 from 1/4" to 1" in a pack. the whole set cost less than the single 3/4" one ..
Now I have to build a flat box to hold them all; so I can lose them all at once

I just use those plastic tool boxes i get cheap at Goodwill and write with sharpie what is in them . Keep them on the shelves in the workshop.

In my quest for the set of drill bits, I came across a stack of small bins. they match the bins I have on the shelves filled with spikes and nails..
I always make the mistake of putting too many wrenches or sockets into a tool box.
then it gets too heavy to lift.
this time around I am going to put in a double set of sockets and the drivers.
still will be heavy, but manageable ..
the rest of the sockets will go into either bins or pails.
but today I hope to finish the second roller for the sanding table, then I can reassemble it and move on to setting up the new/used craftsman lathe..

I got the new shaft made, got the bearings implanted into the ends of the roller.
plan A did not work with drilling with the lathe
Plan B did work, but it took longer to make
the jig than it did to drill the holes.
made it up to 64F today. I actually had to find a spot in the shade to work..

We had a nice day until around 4 pm when it started to drizzle. I got the frame made for my 2 tray egg turner. Figured out how to cut metal with my dremel by reading directions! :lau Guys, it really helps!:gig

when all else fails, read the directions..

I am going to research variable speed electric motors.
I wonder if a motor from a tread mill walker can be utilized ?
I think I have an old tread mill in the woods
I get my exercise by walking out to look at it..:lau
