I need a lot of that.
going to do a little more u tube searching and then I will be starting..
I have to round up some moss and empty water bottles.. I found my rooting powder, but my pruner was not with it.. I can get by with a sharp knife, I guess..

I now have 4 vines and I'm a bit worried I may have over done myself after seeing how many grapes I got off one vine this year. Lol

ETA: I must be losing it.. I wrote this yesterday and forgot to hit the send button..
i went and bought a nice shiny new hand pruner. less than
$9.oo.. I wonder how long it will be before I forget where I put it ?? LOL
I had a friend ask me about growing hops.. I don't know about hops, so I went on you tube for a while..
very interesting plant and seems easy to grow.
you can make them grow over a trellis , the same as grapes..
hmmm, something else I can put on my bucket list

I picked a site for my new chicken coop.

And i got out the chain saw, cleared out small trees and cut up old dead pines. Picture of that tomorrow. It started raining, so i retreated to the house.

good afternoon,
it started to rain at 5:3o PM.. lots of thunder ushered it in..
I ran out of gas with the lawn mower, so I hauled a can down to it with the tractor. while I was down there, I hooked a chain around a young deformed black walnut tree and pulled it up by the roots..
I put a soda bottle air layer on an apple branch.. then I did another one, without any bottle. at best, I am very clumsy and wrapping cling wrap around the bottle is not so easy with other branches in the way.
I don't hold out much hope for that first attempt..
they say to attach the bottle to an up growing branch. i did, but after adding two pounds of wet spagnum moss inside the bottle, the branch doesn't point up any more..
I trimmed some branches off and have them sitting in a bucket of water. I will transfer them into jars to let them root if they will..

I haven't made any beer for a lot of years.
I accidentally made a good batch once that tasted like Grolsch.. I also made a batch that turned out as sour as vinegar ..
