Helpful hints for building coops

I always said, if I could have just choice of bird I could keep , I would choose guinea over all the rest..
they aren't noisy all the time.
I always found it soothing to listen while they talked back and forth while picking up bugs..

if you make up your mind to not like the guinea call, then it will bother you all the time.. same with the people who don't like to hear a rooster..

I don't think it was a conscious 'decision'...
...first time I heard them my brain and the rest of my nervous system went:
Noooooo!!! Make it Stooooop!!!!

to be fair, I have to admit that I did not have my hearing aids when I had guineas.
I guess I should visit a friend who has guineas .
I can always turn off the hearing aids. LOL

I like the sound but I would automatically worry about neighbors. I'm betting Capricorn doesn't have neighbors close enough to have to worry about that though.

our closest neighbors are several hundred yards away. our guineas used to visit them and they didn't mind. they are a young couple who were raised on a farm..
today is so nice out.. sunny and warm.
made it up into the 40's F.
I went out and put the bendix and starter back onto the scooter. all I had to do was take the bendix apart and clean it and lube it. well, anyway, it works flawlessly now. so I put the whole bike back together. didn't test ride it because there are icy spots along the driveway.. one thing I don't need right now is a broken leg..

Yeah, hubby is a very light sleeper.

Yeah, they are all at least a quarter of a mile away. We love our seclusion.

I have been busy knitting. Made scarves for my grandkids.

when I was in high school , I did.
even a light scarf increases the warmth of even a light jacket..\
