I concur , bumblefoot is not caused by perching too high..
did you ever consider that the infection was spread from one bird to another on that particular roost ??

Cappy, you are going to have to make your fence around your property higher and stronger.. Not to keep her in, but to keep every boy in the county out ..

minus -22F this morning. still no snow.
I have ice in my septic system. covered the manhole with a tarp and have an electric heater going..
Yesterday my right knee buckled. I couldn't get up or down, just stuck at the top step into the sunporch.. Annie had to come and lift me.. First time that ever happened.. hurt like H**L..

Yes, I do sing along with the goldies..
In fact, on our TV, channel 933 is nonstop goldies .. sometimes I tune in and fall asleep to those lullabys..
my knee is just fine now. probably until the next time I do something stupid , like squat.

Art, it looks like you will be shoveling more snow tomorrow.
I am in the forecasted 5" to 8" zone..
this will be our first decent snow of this season.. I don't mind the snow, but I can do without the wind..
we made arrangements with DD#2 boyfriend to plow for us. I am not about to ride on my tractor to plow in sub zero temperatures.. usually it warms up right after it snows, but not this time..
